Byte Art are sponsoring the creation of a website for International Charity the Mines Awareness Trust. Former Royal Engineer Ben Remfrey formed the Mines Awareness Trust (MAT) in May 1999 in Kosovo. Education projects were started to safeguard the lives and limbs of local communities, particularly children, from the explosive debris of conflict. Over 6 years since its foundation, MAT has implemented lifesaving community based education projects on three continents. As the organisation has evolved MAT has begun its own highly acclaimed mine clearance and survivor assistance projects. The Trust has now operated in Kosovo, Eritrea, Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sri Lanka and Uganda.
