One noticeable advantage this approach is that generally any goods that can be shipped in consignments of value below £18 or 22 Euros into any EU country will benefit from “Low Value Consignment Relief” whereby no VAT or equivalent sales tax will be charged for import. This is not actually a “tax loop-hole” but it is an administrative relief on EU customs authorities from having to collect VAT where the tax collectable is less than the cost of its collection.
