Computers go wrong. There. The awful truth. We said it. It would also be nice to think that websites never broke down as well. Unfortunately due to the complex nature of any online system there are many things that can go wrong. From bugs in the site code, server software issues, to workmen drilling through cables in the street there are many layers of potential havoc ready to be unleashed! - All work from Byte Art is automatically guaranteed for 60 days from our completion.. During this period we will fix any problems free of charge provided these are not brand new features or outside the original specification. In addition, unlike some other agencies we could mention, we don’t charge a regular fee simply for the benefit of using our website systems. However if we are required to do work over this time period or outside normal office hours we charge at our normal short-term programming rate. As a form of proactive insurance many of our clients who might also want regular things done we offer them the opportunity to take on a maintenance contract by arranging to pre-buy a block of discounted hours each month which can be used for anything they want (within reason!). 
In the past this has included: system support, bug fixes, small project work, data input / proof reading, graphic design, consultancy (marketing & technical), training, photography etc.

We like to form close working relationship with all our clients that don’t just end when the site goes live. We are always there to help so if you are struggling with a presentation or need something sent out e.g. e-mail newsletters then can just pick up the phone...

For sites where high availability is essential and lack of service may lead to direct revenue loss e.g. e-commerce websites we recommend clients look at our Byte Watch service. This is a customisable optional extra to our normal maintenance contract which constantly monitors website for various features e.g. availability, number of orders placed an hour, ability send e-mails. If any of these measured variables falls below the expected norm then alerts are sent out to Byte Art staff to pre-emptively look into these problems. Often problems are sorted out there and then and the site owners are unaware there was a problem till the next morning when we send them a report.
