CSV

The comma-separated values (CSV) file format is a tabular data format that has fields separated by the comma character and quoted by the double quote character.

CSV files can be easily generated by programs such as Microsoft Excel and it is a common means of exchanging data between two systems though it has now been largely superseded by XML.
