Its source code is available free of charge; however, for a fee, Linux is distributed with technical support and training from commercial vendors such as Red Hat Software (www.redhat.com) and Novell (www.novell.com). A Linux "distribution" is available as a download or on CD or DVD media, which may comprise from a handful to several hundred applications, tools and utilities. Source code for the Linux kernel as well as the auxiliary programs may also be included.
